Our Pick of 2020 Wedding Trends
Here at WM we believe that you should look and feel 100% like you on your BIG day, just with the best outfit, hair, makeup and nails you’ve ever had! No pressure!
Time and time again we find that if a bride stays true to her personal style and aligns that to her bridal look, she looks her most beautiful. What is it that Audrey Hepburn said...“ the happiest girls are the prettiest girls” and you can really see when someone feels happy in what they are wearing, they come alive.
That said, everyone wants to feel like their look is current, so here we pull together some of what we think are the most amazing upcoming trends that will ensure you look like you got married in this decade but won’t make you cringe when you look back at your photos in the next.
First up is the amazingness that is a feature sleeve. Whether you like it gathered, ruffled, cut out, in lace, tulle, trimmed or all of the above, there is one to suit almost any taste, is feminine and fun and is sure to add a bit of fashion to any look.
We particularly love some of the sleeve details from the Stella McCartney RTW Spring 19, Valentino RTW Spring 20 and the Alberta Ferreti 2020 show.
The spotted mesh, the pleated balloon into a bask and the layered, ruffled off the shoulder sleeves totally killed us and we think you’ll love them too.
Pleating and panelling are another two trends that are making a resurgence and we must say we are loving it. Whether, long or short, full or fitted these two trends are turning the ordinary into the exciting.
Temperley of London is creating beautiful shapes with panelled skirts that are fitted through the waist & hip, full & fabulous through the remainder of the skirt.
Christian Dior showed copious amounts of pleating throughout the collection including this divine skirt♡
Valentino also used pleating to create effortlessly femme shapes with skirts for the Pre-Fall 2019 Collection
The "More is More" look is definitely one of our favourites, covering up can most definitely look so desirable and sexy - just look at the magical Dior Couture 2019 runway show.
Valentino Resort 2020 show also rocked these heavenly long and sheer creations fit for a queen.
Minimal is once again hit home thanks to the infamous Royal Wedding and Meghan Markle's dresses. From Chanel Resort, Givenchy and Narcisco Rodriguez, the message is clear - plain is in!
The mini dress is another fun alternative to layer for the main event or have for the party time of your BIG day!
First up is this dreamy Dior Haute Couture look and Pamella Rolland Resort 2020 collection also has this beauty.
